Breaking the Illusion - Gesture
This unit is all about breaking the concept of the Fourth Wall by examining Asian styles of Theatre. Through the unit as well as exploring gestures from different cultures, students undertake - research tasks; analysis of how cultures influence a performance styles; lighting; costumes design; and Brecht. Students also examine the Caucasian Chalk Circle and revisit their scene from Woyzech.
