I used Survey Monkey with my gr 11 class after their workshops. It worked really well with the Junior students. I had a few technical difficulties with the Gr11 version. It is an easy program and a great way to get responses. it can help you analyse the results even on the basic version. Helpful for IB students to gather audience opinion. You can create it to suit your needs.

I use audacity with a lot of my classes. Our school has 1 to 1 mac so I also get them to use Garage band which is inbuilt on their computers. The students record their pieces and then convert them into mp3 files. This is easy to do. I have to give my kids a Lame file to help them do it. If anyone wants it I can save it on resources. Let me know.
Then they have a mp3 files to practice with; help them learn lines - I also tell them it is a great study tool. It really helps them focus on movement and not worry about text so much. They can redo as many times as they like especially when they change ideas. Good techniques to see how Given circumstances can effect a performance. Not my idea originally - a great teacher at WAB - Mr Duffield gave me the idea . I had a discussion with my Gr 8 Drama class about whether they wanted to do an e portfolio or use their developmental workbook for SLC( Student Led Conferences). Only 1 student said they would be interested. All the other said they would much prefer to use their DW and their computers. This surprised me. We talked about using the Learner Profile aspect and they said they could see the purpose more that a subject based portfolio and would use it if it was that structure. There are obviously some subjects that do not lend themselves to e portfolios. We need to make it work for the kids.
So here we go. Welcome to my website. Why am I doing this? To incorporate some of my learning in web tools; show what I am doing with my classes; provide a link that my students can use as a resource and see examplar work; and just maybe provide something else helpful for any other Drama / Theatre teachers out there. It is a work in progress - I just started this week and I am adding to it to get a basic started up. Also I wanted to put things that have worked for me in terms of lessons, ideas and tools. Being the only Drama/ theatre teacher at my school it can get a little daunting thinking of new ideas. I thought other people might be in the same stituation.
